Chocolate Chip Pudding Cookies- the BEST Cookies in the World!

I rarely ever try new chocolate chip cookie recipes because I don't feel like chocolate chip cookies are that exciting- also I already have a couple "go-to" recipes. I'm not sure what made me try this recipe from Pennies on a Platter, but I am SO glad I did! These will probably be one of the only chocolate chip cookie recipe I made from now on (except the Perfect Chocolate Chip one from America's Test Kitchen since its so different). G immediately became obsessed with these cookies and called them "The BEST cookies in the world!" He was so excited and asked me to make them again soon. I have since made these 2 more times with other pudding flavors & mix-ins (recipes to come!), but I think our favorite is the classic with vanilla pudding. The possibilities are endless!

I am on the lookout for Oreo pudding mix, because I think that would be AWESOME!! I can't find it anywhere except a pack of like 50 from Amazon. haha I haven't resorted to that yet...

You seriously need to stop reading this and make these now! Go! :)

I actually had to start freezing half of the dough balls before baking them so that we could stop ourselves from eating the entire jar of cookies in a few days. They're THAT good! You can place cookie dough balls on parchment paper in a plastic storage container in the freezer. Bake in preheated oven for about 12-14 minutes.

Note- I could never get mine to puff up very much like the original version, but they still taste great!

Died and Gone to Heaven Reese's Trifle

Happy Labor Day everyone! I hope you are enjoying a day off of work, or at least a lest hectic day because everyone else is off...

I made this trifle a while ago for a potluck BBQ party and it was a HUGE hit! Everyone came up to me and asked me about it and raved about how delicious it was. The guys in the corner were heard saying "It has brownies AND candy!" ha. I made it in a hurry and did not take any photos, so all I have is this horrible iphone photo. It really does not do it justice. It is VERY rich and will disappear fast at the next BBQ you go to. I cannot take credit for this recipe. I was inspired by Died and Gone to Heaven as well as this Peanut Butter Cup Trifle. I mixed the two and came up with this recipe!

I hope you make it soon!

    Dirt Pudding and Ducks

Let me begin by telling you that I am seriously obsessed with this dessert! It all started on Valentine's Day when my friend Kelly brought some to our sweet treat party at work. I ate enough for at least 10 people and she was even so sweet as to bring me a Tupperware with leftovers the next day- heaven! I confess that I may have hidden said leftovers from the bf because I knew how much he would love this. He loves anything with Oreo. I bugged her everyday for the recipe (Thank you, Kelly!) and then was dying for an occasion to make this delicious treat. Note- I have told myself that it is NOT acceptable to make this for no reason and have it sitting around the fridge waiting for me to eat it. Its FAR too dangerous. I forced myself to wait for an event where at least one other person would be present to help eat it!

Fast forward to the Oscars a few weeks later and I was ready to go. I got a plastic bucket and shovel from Michael's for $1, along with some plastic flowers. This was so quick to whip up! I did make myself feel better by using low fat/fat free everything. It was a hit- and Kelly taunted me with another one of her delicious pudding recipes- Banana! Now I'm looking for another party I can bring this one too... yummmm!

On a side note, while the dirt pudding was chilling before it was time to walk down the red carpet, the bf and I headed out to the "pond" for a walk and enjoyed the lovely weather and duckies. :)

One had an eye on G! Actually, he had his only eye on G... There must have been a serious pecking order fight! And now that I think about it, these are geese...HA
