Oreo Truffles

Most of you may already know the bliss that is Oreo Truffles, but I just had to share it again. It's too easy & everyone is always so impressed with these little guys. You don't have to have food processor, but it really makes the process much quicker, easier & less messy! I like my truffles with white chocolate coating on the outside, but you can do regular chocolate too if you prefer. They are fun to decorate with sprinkles for whichever occasion you are making them for. I made these for G's brother & his family at Christmas time. They were wrapped tightly in a tin and survived the mail!

One trick, I always use the same kind of almond bark- I think its called Candi Quick and it comes in a blue package. I have tried other kinds (even expired versions my mother had of the same kind!) and they did NOT give the same results. Another trick is to refrigerate/freeze the balls before you dip them in the bark. These keeps them pretty.

These don't even taste like cream cheese, they just taste like amazingness!! I hope you make these soon- they are great for crowds & can be made a few days ahead. I always keep mine in the fridge & serve cold.

Triple Layer Cookies & Cream Crunch Brownie Bars

I'm going to tell you right off the bat, these are DANGEROUS! I'm warning you that if you make these you will need to find them a new home right away. Keeping them in your fridge will only make you sneak a piece after every meal. Even breakfast. Don't say I didn't warn you!

I didn't know there could be such a delicious combination of oreos and chewy brownie and melted chocolate and peanut butter and Oreo crumbs (did I mention that?). I really like that its cold. Its freaking amazing! :) Danger #2- you will not get rid of an entire package of oreos with this recipe. You will have to make it twice.... I hope you have a bake sale or something, for your own sanity!

Oreo Cookes & Cream Cake

My mom got this amazing Oreo cookie pan from Williams Sonoma last year. I don't even remember when- I think sometime over the summer? How sad it that! I can't believe I waited this long to use it. I think what deterred me was that you can't ice the top of the cap since you would cover up the "cookie" part.

It was really yummy though with double the icing in the middle- just like a double stuff Oreo! :) Did I mention how I think this would make a fab ice cream cake too? I think I'll try that next time. This is definitely a crowd-pleaser and perfect for your favorite Oreo lover. Or yourself. I think I may be my favorite Oreo lover- is that allowed? Good. :)

The pans come with a recipe, but I really wanted to make a cookies and cream cake, so I used this one I found on My Recipe Finds Online. I followed it to a T and it was really good. The birhtday boy said this was his favorite cake EVER and said how moist and tasty it was. He also commented on how delicious the frosting was with the crunchy oreos. The oreos do soften up the next day, but I think its better that way myself. I never use cake mixes and I try not to use a lot of oil in my recipes, so I thought that although the cake was very moist, something tasted a little off. Next time I would use a mixture of oil and butter or maybe some unsweetened applesauce to try to cut the oily taste, but it was still very good. You could always use your favorite moist chocolate cake recipe, but you really do need to try this frosting. :)

Dirt Pudding and Ducks

Let me begin by telling you that I am seriously obsessed with this dessert! It all started on Valentine's Day when my friend Kelly brought some to our sweet treat party at work. I ate enough for at least 10 people and she was even so sweet as to bring me a Tupperware with leftovers the next day- heaven! I confess that I may have hidden said leftovers from the bf because I knew how much he would love this. He loves anything with Oreo. I bugged her everyday for the recipe (Thank you, Kelly!) and then was dying for an occasion to make this delicious treat. Note- I have told myself that it is NOT acceptable to make this for no reason and have it sitting around the fridge waiting for me to eat it. Its FAR too dangerous. I forced myself to wait for an event where at least one other person would be present to help eat it!

Fast forward to the Oscars a few weeks later and I was ready to go. I got a plastic bucket and shovel from Michael's for $1, along with some plastic flowers. This was so quick to whip up! I did make myself feel better by using low fat/fat free everything. It was a hit- and Kelly taunted me with another one of her delicious pudding recipes- Banana! Now I'm looking for another party I can bring this one too... yummmm!

On a side note, while the dirt pudding was chilling before it was time to walk down the red carpet, the bf and I headed out to the "pond" for a walk and enjoyed the lovely weather and duckies. :)

One had an eye on G! Actually, he had his only eye on G... There must have been a serious pecking order fight! And now that I think about it, these are geese...HA
