Hot Onion Souffle- Perfect Party Dip

Wow. I was looking for this recipe on my blog to link up to Kelly's Korner- Show us Your Appetizers, when I discovered that I never actually posted it! ha. I made it back for the Super Bowl and its SO delicious. This is a hot, baked dip that is always a HUGE hit. It goes really well with Frito's corn chips (get the scoop kind). It's not exactly the most healthy dip but I usually get fat free/low-fat cream cheese and mayo and no one can tell. :)

Hot Onion Souffle Dip
  •  24 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 2 cups Parmesan cheese
  • 1 bag (12-14 oz) frozen chopped onions, thawed
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  1. Place thawed onions on a place and absorb all excess moisture with paper towel.

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.

Spread evenly into baking dish with lid.

The larger your dish, the more crispy areas you will have. :)

Bake at 375 for X-X until top is slightly browned.

Serve hot with Fritos scoops.

Enjoy!

Easy Chili Dip

I'm sorry that I didn't have enough foresight to make this BEFORE the Superbowl so that I could post it before last weekend, and then you could make it and impress everyone at YOUR Superbowl party. Instead, I made it 5 minutes before I went over to a friend's house to watch the Superbowl. I admit, I actually did make this dip for Game Night about a month ago, but I just didn't take any photos. The process just goes by so fast that I forget. I did better this time, but I didn't take any of it "cooking." Oops. You can use your imagination right? What do you think a bar of cream cheese and a can of chili look like together in a pot? It's not the prettiest sight. :)

I digress, this dip is VERY yummy though. It does not taste cheap and easy, and your friends will request that you bring it to every get together from now on, which is how it ended up at Superbowl 2011. Enjoy!

Chili Dip
  • 8 oz cream cheese, partially softened
  • 1 can chili with beans
  • Tortilla chips
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt cream cheese and chili until well combined. Spoon into serving dish.

Serve hot with tortilla chips.

Enjoy!

Brown Sugar Apple Dip

I consider this among my "healthy" dessert options since it has apples! Well, it has to be a lot better than eating cake or cookies, right? :) My mom always made this as an appetizer to munch on before holiday dinners and while watching big football games. Ever since I made this before Thanksgiving dinner this year, I can't stop craving it...It's SO easy and quick to make- instant gratification! In fact, I may or may not have eaten it twice this weekend...

Brown Sugar Apple Dip
  • 1 package cream cheese, softened (Do not use reduced fat)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 TBSP vanilla extract
  • 2-3 large green apples
Mix first three ingredients in a large bowl, squishing together with the back of a large spoon. Try to get rid of any lumps. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Cut green apples into slices and serve! Get it before its gone. :)

Enjoy!
